Tour 03
Lantern-lit alleys of the geisha district, then the izakaya.
When the shops close, Hachioji's old entertainment district comes to life. We walk the black-walled lanes of Naka-chō, one of the few places near Tokyo where geisha still work, then settle into the izakaya and small bars I know best.

18:15
The quiet streets of the old geisha district, and the story of how Hachioji's silk money built them.
19:00
Small plates and a drink at a local izakaya. I'll handle the menu and the ordering.
20:15
A tiny bar or a late-night snack, depending on the mood of the group.
21:00
In easy reach of the last trains back to central Tokyo.
