Red maples and the ginkgo festival
Takao in full autumn colour, then 770 golden ginkgo trees along the old Kōshū highway.
Hachioji's most beautiful season. We climb through Takao's maples as they turn red and gold, take tea at the summit, then head into Hachioji itself, where more than 770 ginkgo trees line the old Kōshū Kaidō. In mid-November the city holds its Ichō Festival under them, with stalls, music and the whole avenue glowing yellow.

Hachioji changes completely through the year, so this tour does too. There are six versions, one for each season, from Diamond Fuji in winter and the plum groves in February to the beer garden in summer and the ginkgo festival in November. The date you book decides which one you get.
