Ridge to Fuji: Jinba–Takao Traverse
A full-day ridge walk for proper hikers, with Fuji alongside.

A proper day in the mountains: from the grassy summit of Jinba-san and its white horse statue, along the ridge to Mount Takao, with Fuji keeping you company on clear days. Mountain tea houses along the way keep everyone fuelled.

Meet at Takao Station
At the north exit, then a bus to the trailhead (fare not included).

Up to Jinba-san, 857 m
A steady climb to the open summit and its famous white horse.

Along the ridge
Rolling ridgeline past Meiō Pass and Kagenobu-yama, with tea-house stops and wide views.

Lunch on the ridge
At a mountain tea house, or bring a picnic.

Shiroyama and Takao
The last stretch over Shiroyama to Takao's summit.
16:30
Down to Takaosanguchi
A long descent, then trains straight back to Tokyo.
Times are a guide. We'll go at your group's pace. Distance: around 18 km, with plenty of up and down.
